MCSF Scholarship Application Window Opening Soon! On January 1st, the Marine Corps Scholarship Fund (MCSF) will open their online registration for the 2025-2026 school year Scholarships.
The MCAA 531 Gray Ghost Scholarships is only one of the scholarships offered by the MCSF. Our scholarship is unique , in that, Children and Grandchildren of former 531 Grey Ghosts can apply and that the MCSF's income thresholds are waived - ONLY FOR OUR APPLICANTS. This makes the online application confusing as all of their other scholarships make applicants ineligible if family incomes are over a certain threshold (112,000.00 in 2023 family income.)
SO ON JANUARY 1st, have your college student (child or grandchild) go to www.MCSF.org and apply. Make sure they check the box for MCAA531 Gray Ghost Squadron. Ignore any comments about income thresholds. Just plod on and complete the application and get all required Documentation into them by deadline .
START ON JANUARY 1st
I am pleased to announce that the MCSF chose Rylie Hunter (daughter of Sergeant Donnie Hunter ) to be our MCAA 531 Gray Ghost Squadron recipient.
I have many great memories of my time in 531 , both enlisted and commissioned. Those fond memories continue to grow this year with the scholarship the squadron gave my granddaughter. It's a great tribute to the Marine Corps that a unit that gave so much to this country continues that legacy.
Thank you very much, Semper Fidelis has real meaning in VMFA-531.
